Combining the facilities of a hotel with the retro charm of a ski lodge, Alpine Retreat Hotel – Mt Buller offers four floors of facilities for a great Mt Buller family holiday in the snow or the summer.

Offering free buffet continental breakfast, Alpine Retreat Mt Buller is ideally located for skiing and snowboarding. Warm up after a day of skiing in the indoor pool, sauna or hot tub. Alpine Retreat is located 200 metres from the centre of the Mt Buller Alpine Village and the Bourke Street ski run. Mansfield is a 1-hour drive away and Melbourne is a 3.5 hour drive. The property features spectacular views of Mt Buller and the surrounding high country. Guests enjoy ski hire and a games room with a table tennis table. You can relax in the shared lounge area. Also on offer is a laundry and a mini-mart. Accommodation options include self-contained apartments and bed and breakfast rooms. All rooms feature under-floor heating, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and an en suite bathroom. Apartments offer a lounge/dining area and kitchenette with a stovetop and microwave. Some have a balcony with mountain views.

Alpine Retreat is located in the heart of the Mt Buller alpine village. In winter, we have ski-in/ski-out access via the Chamois Run and Lydia’s Lift (when operational) and we’re just an easy 200m stroll from the village centre and Bourke St ski run. What’s more, we’re now open ALL YEAR ROUND!
