 About Selwyn Snow Resort

Located on the northern side of Mt Kosciuszko National Park, Selwyn Snow Resort offers the perfect experience for families and first-time skiers and snowboarders. It’s also ideal for day-trippers who simply want to enjoy the snow atmosphere. The resort features a dedicated tobogganing area and an exciting snow tube ride.

If you’re new to snow sports, Selwyn Snow Resort is the perfect place to learn skiing or snowboarding. We offer programs for adults and children as young as 18 months. Beyond the slopes, visitors can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in our beautiful alpine environment.

While there is no on-mountain accommodation at Selwyn Snow Resort, plenty of excellent options are available in the surrounding areas. We can help you find suitable accommodation based on your preferences and travel plans.

The closest towns to Mt Selwyn include:

  • Adaminaby (30-40 minutes drive): Offers B&Bs, cabins, and vacation homes
  • Cooma (1 hour drive): The regional center with various accommodation options
  • Talbingo (30-40 minutes drive): Located on the other side of the mountain with scenic lake views

On-Mountain Hire Selwyn Resort offers convenient on-site equipment rental services. The advantage of on-snow hire is immediate assistance if you experience any equipment issues—we can fix or replace gear quickly, allowing you to maximize your time on the slopes.

Off-Mountain Hire Alternative rental facilities are available in Adaminaby and Cooma, which may offer competitive rates for multi-day rentals.

Lift Tickets

Getting to Selwyn

Selwyn Snow Resort is conveniently located:

  • 5.5 hours drive from Sydney

Most visitors stay in the nearby townships of Adaminaby or Talbingo, just a short 30-40 minute drive from the slopes.

Important Safety Information: It is a legal requirement that all vehicles except 4WDs carry snow chains during the winter months when traveling on the Snowy Mountains Highway. Chains can be hired from most service stations on your way to Selwyn Snow Resort.
