Booking Information and Conditions
Thank you for booking your snow holiday at Summit Ridge Alpine Lodge in Falls Creek. Below is some information you may need in getting to and from our lodge, and during your stay with us.
Check In & Check Out Times: Room check in time is 2:00pm and room check out time is 10:00 am.
How to Find Us: Summit Ridge Lodge is located on Schuss St which is the highest road in Falls Creek Village. If you are driving and the village is open to traffic you will drive into the village on Falls Creek Rd. Take the second road on the left into Slalom St, stay on this road until it forks and take the road going uphill to the right. This is only a short road that goes up to Koki Lodge and turn hard right up hill into Schuss St. Continue on this road up hill past Frueauf Village and we are the next lodge on the right past Frueauf.
In winter the village roads are closed to traffic so you will be directed to the Accommodation Transfer Terminal where you will unload family and gear/luggage, and then you will be directed to park your car in the long term carpark and a free shuttle will bring you back to theTerminal. You can then purchase a ticket and catch the next Oversnow Shuttle up to the lodge. This costs $28 per adult one way and $20 per child one way ( kids under 5 are free). Please remember to book the return ATS trip at least 24 hours prior to leaving.
Buses: There is a bus service from Mt Beauty which drops you off at the Accommodation Service Terminal above and this bus is also available from Albury Airport and Melbourne. There is parking available at the bus terminal in Mt Beauty.
Resort Entry : In winter there is a resort entry fee payable at Howman’s Gap and costs between $50 and $40 per night per vehicle depending on length of stay.
Chains: It is a legal requirement to carry wheel chains on the road up to Falls Creek and these can be hired at several locations in Mt Beauty. You will be directed to chain fitting bays if chains are required to be fitted and please obey signs and directions on when to fit them —they are for your own and other cars safety.
Lift tickets and Ski Hire: Lift tickets can be bought on line through www.skifalls.com.au . There is a ski hire shop just across the road from the lodge www.centralsnowsports.com.au and they have all the latest gear at competitive prices. They also pick up the gear from the lodge at the end of your stay.
Cooking facilities: There are no cooking facilities in the rooms and cooking is not permitted in the rooms due to fire regulations so please do not bring any cooking equipment. There is a kettle and tea/coffee facilities and a small bar fridge.
Breakfast: Full buffet breakfast is included in your tariffs and this available in the restaurant from 7:30 to 9:00am each day.
Dinner: The restaurant is open 6 nights a week from 6:00 to 10:00 pm (closed Tuesdays). Due to high demand bookings are recommended and you can book on our website though Open Table and bookings are open from 1 June each year. Max booking number is 6.
Water: The drinking water in the taps comes from a spring and is filtered and treated with UV (not chlorine) so is a very pure and clean drinking water — please do not bring bottled water to the village or lodge.
Wi- Fi: We have free Wi-Fi in the lodge and the password is in the guest compendium or information.
DVD’s: Each room has a DVD player and we have a large selection of DVD’s in our library in the upstairs lounge ( as well as books, games and a Wii and a Play Station3 game consoles). Please help yourself to DVD’s and books and put them back when you are finished. Each room has a smart TV so you will be able to log in to your favourite streaming service.
Spa and Sauna: There is a spa and sauna located on the lower floor opposite Room 13 and both are available for use from 3pm to 8 pm —and there are towels in this room. Please put them in the steel trolley after use. The spa can seat 4 adults comfortably and 6 at a pinch and you are able to book a time on the whiteboard on the door to the sauna and spa room. There are also robes in each room for walking to and from the spa/sauna.
Ski Room and Drying Room: These are located on the lower floor opposite the stairs and there are 2 rooms — the drying room is heated and please don’t put skis or boards in this room —there are racks for skis and boards in the ski room next door. The ski room opens to the outside and please use this entrance when entering or leaving the lodge in snow gear — the code for the door is CY5061.
