Ski Cheap Snow Tours and Accommodation

Driving to Thredbo:

Whatever your preference in getting to the Thredbo, Ski n Save are happy to help you find the best possible way for you and your group to help take the hassle out of organising your holiday! The NSW Snowfields are easy to get to with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Canberra. From there, you can either hire a car or catch a coach transfer to the snow.

Snow Chains: It is not a legal requirement that all vehicles carry tyre chains on the way to Thredbo, however it is strongly recommended as conditions can change quickly. Chains can not be hired in Thredbo, and you may need them to depart the resort if the road snows over.  Chains can be hired at most service stations on your way to Jindabyne or we can organize them for you from our Jindabyne Hire Partner.

Getting around the resort: Thredbo provides a free shuttle bus which travels continually around the resort during winter. The shuttle service normally operates daily from 7.30am to 5.30pm. Additionally, a bus operates around the entire village after hours between 5.30 to 9.00pm on Sunday through to Thursday evenings and until 2am on Friday night and midnight on Saturday.

Kosciuszko National Park entry: You will be required to pay an entry fee for the National Park (Thredbo Village lies inside the National Park) which is $29 per vehicle per day. Alternatively you can purchase an annual pass for $190. These passes can be purchased from Jindabyne in the Snowy Region Visitors Centre, or at the National Parks gates as you pass through.

Parking: There is ample FREE parking available in the Friday Flat car park.
