Perisher ski resort as it is commonly known is located in the Perisher Valley of Mt Kosciusko National Park , NSW . Its part of the Snowy Mountains that form the great dividing range of Australia .Dividing the east coast from the in land. The resort is the result of joining Guthega, Smiggins Holes and Blue Cow to form a resort with over 1,245 hectare of runs. With the highest peak been Mt Perisher (2,054m).This allows for a average high snow depth of 1.9 metes not including snow making. There’s over 245 snow guns spread over 53.4 ha, following 47 lifts. A new lift is been added this years at Guthega . The resort prides it self on its green and eco friendly status using local hydro power. The resort consists of 7 mountain peaks, Mt Perisher at 2,054m,Mt Back Perisher at 2,014m, Mt Piper (1,830m), Mt Blue Cow (1,994m),Rocky Knob (1,900m),Guthega Peak (1,924m) and Mt Blue Calf (1,905m).So theres oodles of runs for every skill or challenge. With 22% of the run for beginners ,Intermediate 60% and 18 % advanced runs. Perisher also has 5 terrain parks with 1 Superpipe located at front valley and 1 Mini Halfpipe at Yabby Flats. The longest run is 3 klm.
Perisher has accommodation to suite every budget and requirement from Self contained apartments, Lodges with breakfast and meal packages (and après activities), B and Bs , hotels with meals and ski clubs that accept guests or are open to the public .If you want to try some thing different you could try camping in the snow. Perisher Resort Location
Perisher is located 5.5 – 6hrs drive from Sydney via Canberra and Jindabyne, 6 – 7hrs from Melbourne via the Hume Hwy and only 33km from Jindabyne.If your coming from the South Coast of NSW its only 2 hour drive via Dalgety . Perisher can also be accessed by the Ski Tube via The Alpine Way (heading to Thredbo) just 20km from Jindabyne for those who would prefer not to drive into the national park and avoid the snow conditions. The Ski Tube runs every 15- 20 minutes during peak periods and is the official car park of Perisher for over night parking. Perisher Ski, Snowboard & Clothing Hire Depending which part of the resort your staying Perisher has a few option for snow board , ski or clothing hire you can either hire the equipment at the Ski Tube terminal at Bullocks Flat where you can also buy a ski and tube pass or at the Perisher center which is the gate way to the resort, so you don’t have to lug you equipment around. If there are any problems with your equipment you can have it fixed right on the spot. If your staying at Guthega or parking there for the day there’s rental places there also.

Getting around Perisher
Free Shuttle Service
A free shuttle service operates between Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes. The shuttle service runs from 7:30am to 6pm and until 10pm Tuesdays and Saturdays during July & August and Tuesdays during September to accommodate for night skiing and boarding. Pick-ups are from the turning circle at Perisher Skitube Terminal and the metal bridge outside the Smiggins Hotel at Smiggin Holes. Shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes.
Staying on-snow? Hans Oversnow is located in the Perisher Skitube Terminal and provides transport for selected lodges in Perisher and Smiggins for a charge.
