The Australian ski resort open on the 8 of June 2018 (school holiday long weekend),and it looks like it could be a bumper year for snow, with the early snow falling mid May.These early snow falls will drop the ground temperature allowing snow makers a chance to make some early snow.‘Snow in Australia is a truly special experience; it’s like another world up the Victorian Apinea and Mt Koziozsco National Park . Perisher this year has put in a new chair lift to increase the capacity of the beginner runs and to reduce congestion .The beginner runs are also the gateway to the rest of the resort ,so getting skiers and snowboarders to there preferred destination quicker can only improve there holiday experience .

Mt Selwyn Snowfields is located an easy 2.5 hour drive from Canberra, 5.5 hour drive from Sydney and 2.5 hour drive from Wagga Wagga. As there is no on-snow accommodation on the mountain, most people stay in the nearby townships of Adaminaby and Talbingo a short 30 to 40 minutes drive from the slopes.
